Texas A&M Hillel Sanctuary
This is called the “Bimah”. The Bimah is the platform in the sanctuary holding the reading table used when chanting or reading portions of the Torah and the Prophet. We crafted the Reading Desk, Torah Ark, Ceremonial Table.
Tracing its roots to 1913, Texas A&M Hillel is one of the oldest Jewish campus organizations in the United States.
Application Doors of the Ark are clad in veneer we cut in-house at Greenwood Bay. The Ark was too large to fit in the building’s elevator, so it had to be made to “break down” so that final assembly would take place in the second-floor sanctuary.
